Daisy seems more in love and confident when she’s with Gastby then Tom
GATSBY’s real name was James Gatz and he changed it at the age of seventeen
His parents were unsuccessful farm people
Since GATSBY was spoiled he didn’t respect others
From Cody is how GATSBY inherited money
The yacht represented beauty and glamour
GATSBY wanted to see more of Tom
Tom criticizes women for being social
Daisy and GATSBY danced
Daisy didn’t have a great time at the party
GATSBY wanted Daisy to get a divorce so they can get married like they were going to do 5 years ago

Response to “Dream Within a Dream”

What I understand from the poem “Dream Within a Dream” is that it seems hard to understand what is a dream and what it real life. It is also really hard to remember what your dream was about even after you just woke up. No matter how had you try to remember it the less you seem to know what you were dreaming about and even the most basic details about it. The author also want to show how he would like to hold on to them for a long period of time so he can remember at least the good things in life, even if that comes from just a dream.

Brave New World Theme

From reading the book Brave New World the theme for me is loneliness. In the beginning we are introduced to Bernard, when we meet him he feels like he doesn’t fit in. He seems to be different from others and thinks differently than the people from the World State. People in the World State take soma and do sexual things in order to please themselves and others because they feel empty inside. John also feels out of place when he arrives to the World State that he wants to leave to the island.

I am GSD

As an independent learner I believe that it makes me understand a topic more. I can take as much time I want on a specific topic, without anyone telling me to rush my learning process. I feel like I can gather important information when I do my own research. When I become a independent learner it feels like it makes me more motivated and responsible as a person. It motivates me because I know what I need to improve on and I find ways to get better. It also makes me responsible because I know what I need to understand and how to increase my learning in anyway.
