Nick’s cardinal virtue is that he’s one of the fewest honest people he has even kmown. This admission changes the way we look at Nick because no matter who you are you can’t always be honest. His idea is not supported because he has judged people in the last event we read about him like Tom. Nick is an arrogant person because he himself isn’t being honest with himself and does things he doesn’t even actually enjoy doing.
