Genre is category’s by literary techniques, tones, and style of writing. Naturalism is an idea or belief about natural laws, it also gives a more clear description of life than realism, realism describes a humans behavior, it describes people and things as if they are real life. Modernism looks at the past and tradition and changes to a new forms to demonstrate new ideas.

GATSBY TEST CHAPTER 1-4

Chapter 1 Q: What was the reason Nick went to go visit Tom and Daisy at East Egg? Q: Why was Daisy’s expression so negative when she found out she had a girl? Chapter 2 Q: Why did Tom like to visit Wilson at his garage so much? Q: Why is Tom so violent and why is Mrs. Wilson still in love with him? Chapter 3 Q: Why so peope go to Gatsby’s house for parties without getting invited? Q: Why is it that Jorden likes Nick so much? A BRAVE NEW END OF THE WORLD

Two big ideas I got by reading the ending of Brave New World is that people always get caught up in society and what others think. People can not be taken seriously about their feeling because others won’t understand them, or it’s something they have never felt before so others don’t know how to react.

BNW chapter 8 ideas

1. Bernard asked John to explain “everything” about his life since the beginning 2. Since Linda comes from the World State she is used to being in multiple relationships with many men all in one time. The effect that this issue brings to the Reservation is that people that are from the Reservation don’t live their life’s the same way as in the World State, they actually respect people’s relationship. John learns all about this when he is able to read. 3. Popé brings Linda mescal. 4. John hates Popé. John stabs Popé when he was sleeping with Linda. Popé just laughs and tells him to leave. 5. Shakespeare allusion in this chapter comes from the “The Complete World of William Shakespeare” John enjoyed reading it because he feels like it describes the way his life is / feels. It showed him the true relationship between Linda and Popé, it inspired John to “kill” Popé. 6.
