What I learned today about the essay written by Emerson was that we all have our own ways of thinking, but we never actually take action. Usually a song is created which takes our way of thinking and we never take credit for it. In paragraph 4, it talks about children, babies and even brutes that they are clear of what they want and what they are thinking of. They don’t have a purpose to lie about something like older people do. People should be able to express their own opinions even if others don’t agree with them. Also people do charities to seem “nice” but they aren’t actually like that.
Two big ideas I got by reading the ending of Brave New World is that people always get caught up in society and what others think. People can not be taken seriously about their feeling because others won’t understand them, or it’s something they have never felt before so others don’t know how to react.
